Pastor Phil joined BBC in August of 2007.  He came to us with a strong background in pastoral leadership and over 35 years of ministry with experiences ranging from youth work to associate pastor to senior pastor.  His ministry is motivated by a passion to teach God's Word and equip believers to minister to others.  His style of preaching is mainly expository (verse by verse, passage by passage) showing the scripture's meaning and relevance for our lives today and creating a love for God and His Word.

“The greatest joy in life is realizing the greatness of God’s love demonstrated for us at the Cross of Calvary.  Through the cross God has opened the door to a wonderful relationship with Himself that is beyond our comprehension.  To use the Apostle Paul’s words:  “…as it is written, ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him…' " I Corinthians 2:9.

In a society that craves love - genuine love - these words are like diamonds on black velvet.  God wants us to know how much He loves us.  That’s why He gave us His written word.  It’s His letter to us revealing what He did to show us how much He loves us, why we struggle to accept His love, and what He has done to make it possible for us to receive His love.  And, it’s all written in His Word.  Won’t you join us as we study His Word together?”

Pastor Al joined BBC in April of 2005.  He graduated from Lancaster Bible College in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Bible.  Following graduation, he had the opportunity to serve as a youth intern at First Baptist Church of Perkasie, located in Bucks County PA.  Al and his wife, Jenna, have three boys:  Weston, Hunter, and Laken.

Pastor Al's purpose for ministry is to provide an atmosphere where teenagers can strengthen their relationship with the Lord and to allow for opportunities for adult leaders to come alongside of them, wherever they are in their spiritual walk.  The teens meet twice a week for Sunday School and Wednesday night youth group.  There are also several opportunities throughout each month for the teens to get together for activities and service projects.
